Wallpaper Creator (Island Edition) builds wallpapers tuned for iPhones with a Dynamic Island. The shortcut has been iterated steadily, with the latest release sitting at version 7.1.9, so the project has clearly grown beyond a first draft.
What this shortcut does
This is a wallpaper-making shortcut aimed at iPhones with Dynamic Island (the “island device” wording in the author’s notes). Version 7.1.9 added glass-style dock effects on the Lock Screen. Most of the controls surface at runtime through prompts inside the shortcut itself, so the easiest way to learn what it offers is to run it and step through the menus.
Running the shortcut
Launch the shortcut from the Shortcuts app or a Home Screen tile, then follow the in-shortcut prompts as they appear. When you reach a result you like, save the image to Photos. From there, open Settings, choose Wallpaper, and pick the new image for your Lock Screen or Home Screen. Menus and options can shift between versions, so expect the exact flow to differ slightly from older walkthroughs you may find online.
FAQ
Will this look right on my regular iPhone 13?
The output is composed around the Dynamic Island cutout, so iPhone 14 Pro and later get the intended look. Older phones can still run the shortcut, but the framing won’t line up with your notch.
Which iOS should I be on?
Recent is the honest answer — the v7.1.9 release adds the glass dock effects Apple introduced in iOS 26, so anything pre-iOS 26 misses the visual polish even if it loads.
How much can I tweak the result?
A fair amount. The shortcut walks you through choices as it runs rather than reading a config file, so the options surface as prompts. Which prompts you see depends on the version installed.
