Music shortcuts connect the services iOS keeps separate. A common example is taking a song Shazam just recognised and adding it to a Spotify playlist, or converting an Apple Music link into a Spotify one before you send it to a friend.

If you mostly listen in Apple Music, look for shortcuts that use the built-in Music actions. They need no extra accounts and tend to survive iOS updates better than ones that rely on outside APIs.
