Ever found a clip on TikTok or a track on SoundCloud you wanted to keep, only to hit a wall when there’s no save button? That’s the gap this shortcut fills. You copy a link, run it, and the file lands on your iPhone without a single visit to a sketchy web converter.

What it does
Yas Download reads a social media link from your clipboard and pulls the underlying media file onto your device. It covers eight platforms in all: YouTube (as mp3), Pinterest, SoundCloud, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram stories, Tumblr, and TikTok. Depending on which service the link came from, you get a menu of formats and qualities to choose from before anything downloads, so a YouTube link can come down as audio while a Twitter video saves as MP4.
How to install
- Tap Add Shortcut on this page to open it in the Shortcuts app.
- The preview lists every action inside, so review it if you like.
- Scroll down and tap Add Shortcut to confirm.
- Open a video on any supported app and copy its share link to test the setup.
How to use it
The flow is built around your clipboard, which is why it feels quick once you’ve done it once. Find the post you want, tap the share button, and copy the link. Then run Yas Download from the Shortcuts app or the Share Sheet. It recognizes the link you just copied and shows the available download options on the next screen. Pick your format and quality, and the file moves to the Downloads folder while a progress indicator tracks it. How long that takes depends on the file size and your connection.
You’ll notice a long roster of supported apps in the requirements, from Vimeo to Threads. You don’t need all of them installed at once. A working link from whichever service you happen to be using is enough, so install only the apps you actually post from.
Where files are saved
Finished downloads go to the Downloads folder on your device, which you can reach through the Files app. From there you can move a clip into Photos, drop an mp3 into a music folder, or share it onward like any other file.
Troubleshooting
The shortcut grabs an old link. It reads whatever is currently on your clipboard, so copy the new link again right before you run it.
A platform returns nothing. Each service changes its page structure now and then, which can break a specific source until the shortcut is updated. Check the RoutineHub page for a newer version.
The download stalls partway. Large videos and a slow connection are the usual cause. Let it sit, or retry on Wi-Fi.
Common questions
Do I need every app in that requirements list?
No — that list covers every platform the shortcut can reach. Install only the ones you use, and skip the rest.
Can it pull a YouTube video as just audio?
YouTube links come down as mp3, so you get the audio track rather than the full video. Other platforms keep their video formats.
Are TikTok downloads watermark-free?
Because it pulls the source file rather than a screen recording, TikTok clips generally save without the overlay watermark. Results can vary as TikTok changes its delivery.
